Tomsk plants supplied the largest Russian companies with products worth 75 billion rubles
This figure was announced today, May 27, by the Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin, who spoke with an annual report on the work of the executive branch in the regional Legislative Duma.
The head of the region is convinced that one of the most effective tools for supporting the industry is the "road maps" for expansion of the use of Tomsk products and technologies, which the region has been implementing since 2013 with the largest Russian business.
The Governor drew the attention of parliamentarians that cooperation with the largest domestic business has helped Tomsk industrialists to open new production in mechanical engineering, chemical industry and radio electronics.
The Governor also stressed that the Breakthrough project is actively developing in the nuclear industry. In the forestry complex, a new chipboard plant was opened at Tomlesdrev and an MDF-plant in Asino; new projects were created by Les-Export in Krivosheino area and by Sibirles in Zyryanskoye area.
Other areas are also developing. The food industry has grown in value terms by 30% over six years. Mezheninovskaya poultry farm built a plant for the production of rapeseed oil, which made it possible to increase the production of vegetable oils in the region 200 times. The production of cheese in the Tomsk region has grown 26 times since 2015: both due to the technological modernization of production at Tomskoye Moloko and Derevenskoye Molochko, and due to the emergence of a large number of artisan cheese dairies. Art-Life opened the production of gelatin capsules, and Sibir and Kakheti enterprises launched new lines of alcoholic beverages.
